The Role

The Senior Network Security Specialist is a visionary expert and technical leader responsible for shaping the architectural direction of our network security posture. You will be the primary authority on network security design, acting as the L3/L4 escalation point for critical security incidents and driving continuous improvement. This role requires not only deep technical expertise but also the ability to think strategically and translate business goals into scalable, secure, and resilient technical architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead and architectural authority for enterprise network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and NAC.

  • Lead the design and implementation of zero-trust network architectures and secure hybrid cloud connectivity.

  • Act as the L3/L4 escalation point, leading root cause analysis (RCA) for complex security incidents such as intrusions and advanced malware attacks.

  • Drive continuous improvement by integrating and managing SIEM/SOAR platforms for real-time threat detection and response.

  • Ensure all security solutions and processes are compliant with regulatory frameworks such as NCA CCC, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF.

  • Provide strategic input on new security initiatives, technology adoption, and security roadmaps.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Deep, proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex network security solutions.

  • Strong hands-on experience with security appliances from multiple vendors (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point).

  • Expert-level knowledge of network protocols and hands-on experience with cloud network security (Azure NSG/Firewall, AWS Security Groups/WAF, GCP Armor).

  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, Palo Alto PCNSE / PCCSE, Fortinet NSE 7/8.

  • Expert-level mastery of Google Workspace applied to project leadership; able to orchestrate collaborative workstreams, synthesize complex data, and prepare client deliverables at executive standard.

  • Strong collaboration skills in shared digital environments.
